Texture is the hard part
Anyone can fill a hole. Making the repair disappear means matching the surrounding texture — knockdown, orange peel, skip trowel, or smooth — and then feathering the paint so there's no halo.
Utah homes have a lot of knockdown and orange peel, and both are unforgiving of a lazy match. We test texture on a board before touching your wall.
Water damage
If drywall is damaged from water, the drywall is the symptom. Before we repair, we want to know the leak is fixed and the cavity is dry — otherwise we're sealing moisture into a wall, which leads to mold.

Frequently asked questions
- Can you match my ceiling texture?
- Usually. Ceilings are harder than walls because the light rakes across them and shows every imperfection. We test the match on a board before applying it to your ceiling, and we're honest when a full-ceiling retexture will look better than a spot repair.
- Do you remove popcorn ceilings?
- Yes. One important caution: popcorn ceilings in homes built before roughly 1980 may contain asbestos, and that has to be tested before removal, not after. If your home is that era, we'll advise testing first — this is a health issue, not a formality.
- My drywall is cracking at the corners. Is that serious?
- Usually not. Most corner cracking is normal settling and seasonal movement, particularly at the corners of doors and windows. If cracks are wide, growing, or accompanied by doors that suddenly won't close, that's worth a closer look at the foundation before cosmetic repair.
