Why a licensed contractor for small jobs
Plenty of unlicensed people will do handyman work cheaper. The difference shows up when something goes wrong — if an unlicensed, uninsured worker is injured on your property or damages your home, that exposure can land on you.
The difference is the accountability behind the work — who pulls the permit, who meets the inspector, and who comes back if something isn't right. It costs a little more per hour. It's a materially different risk profile.
What we take on
Drywall repair and texture matching, door installation and adjustment, trim and baseboard, shelving and storage, TV mounting, fixture and faucet replacement, caulking, minor tile repair, deck board replacement, fence repair, and general punch-list work.
We're straight with you about scope. If what you're describing actually needs a licensed electrician or plumber, we'll say so rather than doing something we shouldn't.

What the process looks like
- Send us the list. Call, email, or send photos. Photos genuinely help us quote accurately without a trip out.
- Get a number. Hourly with a minimum, or a flat quote for larger jobs. Agreed before we start.
- We show up. On the scheduled day, in the scheduled window. If we're running late you get a call, not silence.
- Done and cleaned up. Work completed, area cleaned, debris hauled off.
Frequently asked questions
- Is there a minimum charge?
- Yes, there's an hourly minimum for small jobs — it covers travel and setup. If you have several small items, batching them into one visit is far more economical than calling us out three separate times. Send the whole list.
- Is there anything you won't take on?
- Send the list and we'll tell you. Electrical and plumbing are the two that go to a licensed trade — we'll still run the project and bring the right person in, we just won't do that part ourselves as handyman scope. Gas lines are the same. Almost everything else on a typical list is fair game, so it's worth asking rather than assuming.
- Can you match my existing wall texture?
- Usually, yes. Texture matching is genuinely a skill — knockdown, orange peel, and hand-troweled finishes all behave differently, and a bad match is more noticeable than the original hole. It's one of the most common calls we get and one of the more satisfying to get right.
- Do you charge for estimates?
- No. Estimates are free. For simple handyman work we can often quote from clear photos without needing to come out at all.

Bad drywall repair is worse than the hole. Matching existing texture and getting the paint to blend is what separates a repair you notice from one you don't.
